On Friday August 31st 8pm $5 New Hazlett Theater (6 Allegheny Sq East 15212) presents IRIS, a new play by a New York City basEd Pittsburgh native writer Emma Wagner.
IRIS follows the journey of a young girl who falls in love and must deal with the consequences of her adventurous spirit. Emma Wagner a New York City basEd Pittsburgh native has had plays presented in New York, Boston and Pittsburgh. Winner of the City Theatre's Young Playwright's Contest in 2007, her play Enlightenment was produced at the City Theatre's Young Playwright's Festival. Her next play, Waiting Room, was produced at the Boston Playwright's theater and a reading of her newest play Iris was presented by the Shakespeare's Sister Company in New York City. She is a BFA graduate of the Boston Conservatory. Emma is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild.
